Junior Process Engineer

Are you a recent Chemical Engineering graduate looking to build a career in the hydrogen revolution? Hydro X is seeking a Junior Process Engineer to join our fast-paced engineering team. This is a unique role where you won’t just be sitting behind a desk; you will be in the lab and in the field, turning R&D breakthroughs into physical, operating machines.

Under the mentorship of our senior team, you will learn to design, build, calibrate, and support our proprietary hydrogen storage units from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities

  • From Lab to Concept: Work closely with the R&D team to understand new chemical processes and assist in translating them into engineering designs (PFDs and P&IDs).
  • Prototype Build & Assembly: Actively participate in the physical construction of our units. You will be responsible for component integration, piping, and ensuring the mechanical build matches the design.
  • Instrumentation & Calibration: Learn to select, install, and calibrate industrial sensors (flow, pressure, temperature). You will ensure every unit is “tuned” for precision before operation.
  • Software & Control Logic: Assist in setting up and testing control sequences. You will learn to troubleshoot PLC-based systems and software interlocks.
  • International Technical Support: Join the senior team at overseas customer sites to assist in unit commissioning, technical transfer, and real-time problem solving.
  • Process Maintenance: Monitor pilot runs and take the lead in solving operational challenges, such as identifying the cause of system clogs or pressure drops.

Requirements

  • Education: B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from a known university.
  • Aptitude: A “maker” mindset. We are looking for someone who has worked on technical projects, whether in a university lab, a student competition (like Formula Student), or a military technical unit.
  • Technical Sense: Basic understanding of fluid dynamics, heat transfer, and control systems.
  • Software: Familiarity with Excel, CAD, or process simulation software (Aspen/HYSYS) is a plus.
  • Grit & Travel: Ability to work in a hands-on environment and a high level of excitement for international travel and field work.
  • Language: Proficiency in Hebrew and Strong Technical English (written and spoken).

What We Offer

  • Accelerated Growth: We will train you on advanced instrumentation, industrial standards, and international tech transfer within your first year.
  • Direct Impact: You will see the units you helped build being deployed to major energy players worldwide.
  • Mentorship: Work directly with a highly experienced Head of Engineering and R&D team
