We’re looking for a versatile, hands-on NPI (New Product Introduction) Process Engineer to lead FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing) of Hydro X products and support their installation at international customer sites — in Japan, Europe, together with world-leading multinational partners.
This is not a desk job. You’ll be elbow-deep in the machine: executing logic, correcting PID loops, running tests, and solving real engineering problems as they arise. You’ll be the bridge between our R&D work and a working, customer-ready system.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead FAT and commissioning of Hydro X products
- Translate R&D data into PFDs and P&IDs; ensure engineering design reflects the chemical process
- Hands-on assembly, wiring, piping, and system integration
- Calibrate sensors, instrumentation, and frequency converters; configure control software
- Execute testing protocols to validate software stability and control loop performance
- Provide on-site support for overseas deployments, including customer commissioning and operator training (in Asia, Europe)
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in process engineering or a multidisciplinary R&D/production environment
- Strong instrumentation and control background (PLCs, sensors, P&IDs)
- Mechanical aptitude — you know how to build things, not just design them
- Ability and willingness to travel internationally (deployment in Japan, in Europe and more)
- Operations background — advantage
- Experience with gases, hydrogen systems, or electrochemical processes — significant advantage
What We Offer
- A front-row seat at one of Israel’s most ambitious deep-tech energy companies
- A small, highly capable multidisciplinary team (chemists, engineers, physicists)
- A real machine, real systems, real impact — not PowerPoints
- The opportunity to be on-site in Japan, Europe and more for customer installation
About Hydro X
Hydro X has developed a disruptive technology which enables to store and transport energy and hydrogen in a non-toxic, non-flammable, non-explosive, cost and energy-efficient carrier, driving the cost of hydrogen storage and transportation below US$1/kgH2. After more than a decade of R&D, we’re now finalizing assembly, inspection and commissioning phases of our first products and international projects.
